fitness enthusiast, yogi, ball of joy
My passion for sports and fitness began as a kid. Much of my attention went to playing volleyball in school high school and during my four years at Alma College, where I earned my degree in Exercise and Health Science. In 1995, I received my personal training certification through the American Council on Exercise and have maintained a steady clientele since then. Over time my focus for personal workouts switched to yoga and group classes. The energy and accountability of working out with others really revived my motivation to stay fit. Bikram was my first yoga love, and it was where I also came across Tonic. Wearing their beautiful pieces in class was almost like a right of passage there, so of course, I just had to have some gear! Years later, I reconnected with my friend Jay, who happened to be a Tonic sales rep. I purchased some gear from him and we realized that I would be a good fit to represent Tonic as an ambassador. That was a few years ago, and I have been having a blast with Tonic ever since!
Alongside my yoga practice, I teach pilates at bodybar studios and am absolutely in love with this creative way to workout. When I’m not at the studio, I’m personal training clients, leading a boot camp, or on my mat hopping around town taking classes with friends.
Some of my favourite Tonic pieces are the crops for their versatility and fabulous wicking capabilities, the free spin tank because it is so whimsical and great to teach in, and the lifestyle pieces, because I get so many compliments when I wear them!
